The Ethnomathematics program at the University of Hawai’i at Mānoa prepares high-quality educators across a variety of disciplines as educational and community leaders. Through a sense of purpose and a sense of place the program empowers participants to be locally-minded, global citizens.

Education

Education is a core part of our mission. We seek to develop teacher leaders in ethnomathematics through academic programs, professional development, and curriculum resources. Our teacher leaders engage with students in solving rigorous, relevant, and contextualized mathematical tasks.
